GLADIATOR FRT PARTS WASHER

A higher standard of aqueous parts washing for public transportation

In 2019, one of the largest transit authorities in the United States needed new washers for their regional repair and maintenance shops. They have the impressive task of serving five counties and over 4 million people. Made of carbon steel and rusting, their existing washers were no longer up to the task of cleaning parts and tools for public transportation.

Seeking a more sustainable option, they purchased one of our Gladiator FRT 3650 washers.

The Solution

The Gladiator FRT 3650’s have a 36” diameter rotating table capable of holding up to a 50” tall part. The maximum weight the table will hold is 1,500 lbs. They feature a 60-gpm pump at 70-psi. Heated wash, 7-day/24-hour heater timer, oil disk skimmer, 2nd level parts basket and they are built entirely from 304 stainless steel.

Gladiators use aqueous-based cleaning solutions designed to perform just as well as toxic, solvent-based cleaners.

Because they are built from 304 stainless steel, Gladiator washers are designed to last a lifetime and will not rust like carbon steel.

On several of the washers we built a special “A” frame to allow the repair centers to hang some of their parts that would not clean very well by laying them down on the tabletop.

The Results

In addition to durability, the 70-psi pump pressure allowed them to clean their parts faster and better than their existing washers.

In 2021, we were awarded a contract to build six more Gladiator FRT washers for their repair shops.

Future Plans

With the success of the seven purchased Gladiator washers, the company has plans to purchase three more in 2022.
