Receiving Coordinator

The position will report to the production manager and coordinates all material activity with purchasing and department team leaders.  The receiving coordinator will be required to receive all incoming material and match items to the bill of materials, label, organize, palletize components, transfer pallets to racks and assembly department in an efficient and safe manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive all manufactured and purchased components in ERP system
  • Receive in assembly components and match to the bill of materials and assembly prints
  • Verify required quantities and part numbers are met on assembly prints
  • Organize components to a specific project and assembly
  • Create material tags per the BOM and prints, attach them to the corresponding components
  • Properly select storage units and containers to minimize utilized storage space
  • Transfer material to storage and departments
  • Communicate with all departments on order completion status along with storage location of assembly components
  • Collaborate with purchasing for delivery dates and follow up on missing assembly components
  • Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating work with other team members
  • Ability to work on multiple projects as well as be a member of a cross functional team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and clients

Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to details
  • Knowledge and ability to identify mechanical and electrical components and part numbers
  • Previous material coordination preferred, but not required
  • Strong project management skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP system
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and bill of materials
  • Capacity to operate a Forklift and Crane, training will be provided
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and schedules
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, and written
  • Willingness to learn and desire to contribute as part of a dynamic and productive team.
  • Experience in equipment builds preferred
