Responsibilities:
- Controls system design for automated assembly, test, and special process machinery.
- Assist sales in developing equipment concepts and costs.
- Troubleshoot and conduct engineering studies for new installations and modifications.
- Create schematics, bills of materials, and select components.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and participate in design review meetings.
- Provide manufacturing support, equipment debugging, and qualification.
- Field support for new installations, including startup and tuning.
- Create project documentation and coordinate work with team members.
- Manage multiple engineering projects as part of a cross-functional team.
- Support marketing efforts and maintain client relationships.
- Some travel required.
Requirements:
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree or equivalent controls experience.
- Strong analytical and concept design skills for industrial equipment.
- Project management expertise.
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming, robot program integration a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, RS Logix, and Microsoft Office.
- Adaptability to changing project requirements and schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
